At Sathi, we are committed to finding you a partner. As a digital matchmaking service, our refund policy is governed by the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECT Act) and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).

  1. Non-Refundable Verification Fee (R49.00)

To ensure the safety of our community, all members undergo a mandatory identity check.The Fee: A once-off fee of R49.00.Why it is Non-Refundable: This fee is paid directly to third-party service providers, contractors, and for Department of Home Affairs (DHA) database inquiries to verify your identity.Policy: Once the verification process has been initiated, this service is deemed “fully consumed.” Therefore, the R49.00 fee is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances, even if your application is declined or you choose to cancel your membership later.

  1. The 7-Day Cooling-Off Period (Subscriptions Only)

In accordance with Section 44 of the ECT Act, you are entitled to cancel your R99.00 Monthly Subscription without reason and without penalty within 7 (seven) days of the initial transaction, provided you have not used the service.Full Refund: If you cancel within 7 days and have not utilized core features (messaging, unlocking profiles), you will receive a refund of the subscription fee.Exclusion: This cooling-off period does NOT apply to the R49.00 Verification Fee (see Clause 2).

4. Member Conduct

Harassment, hate speech, or fraudulent activity will result in immediate account termination .

You agree NOT to:

Post false, misleading, or illegal content.

Harass, stalk, or abuse other members.

Use the platform for prostitution, soliciting, or fraud.

Sathi reserves the right to terminate your account immediately without refund if you violate these rules.

5. Safety Disclaimer

    Sathi is a matchmaking platform. While we perform identity checks, we cannot guarantee the character of every user.You are responsible for your own safety.Always meet in public places for first dates.Never send money to other members.

    6. Limitation of Liability

      To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Sathi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or interactions with other members.

      The service is provided “as is”. Sathi.co.za is not liable for any damages arising from the use of this site or interactions between members.

      Governing Law

      These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be handled in the jurisdiction of the South African courts (Pretoria).
